For those Plus dancers wondering.... "Am I ready for A1?"

I recommend that you don't consider attempting  to learn "Advanced 1" dancing until you have at least 2 full years of experience dancing the Plus program, not including the year that you first learned it, and you've had some exposure to dancing Plus either APD or DBD.  You must be able to dance the Plus program "comfortably" and by that is meant -  for majority of the time,  you can execute all  Plus moves with relative ease  and can easily 'adapt' to being in 'different' positions on the floor without 'panic' setting in!  (for example: Load the Boat with 2 boys or girls together; or half-sashayed ).  'Advanced' dancing is often considered to be 'all position - all the time', so make sure you're ready for it and keep foremost in your mind that square dancing is all about having fun!
